Kindness Uplifted

Spreading kindness one card at a time.

Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to My Blog
Welcome to my blog! My name is Kim Umbach, and I am an Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I have been a hobby demonstrator on and off for a few years and was introduced to Stampin’ Up! in 2016 when I was on maternity leave and my daughter was just 6 months old. We were new to our city and without a lot of friends, so I really needed to connect with other adults. It was a life changing experience. I loved being creative, getting some time for myself, talking to other adults, and reconnecting with my true self. I carried on and my daughter is now 5 years old. I recently decided to take this hobby a step up and turn my demonstrator title into a business. My husband and I both work in the aviation industry and we are hoping that, by turning my hobby into a business, we can provide a little more security in an uncertain world. Bare with me as I learn the world of blogging, video making and editing, and social media for business. I will do my best to show you some fun cards, great products, and different ways to spread kindness. If you have any ideas, send them my way. I want to bring more than just making cards to the world of stamping. I like being creative with scrapbooking, invitations, calendars, and more. I believe the true reason for making cards is to bring joy into the lives of the people around you. I want to create projects and teams that bring joy and spread kindness to the world. Why make cards for only those you know? What about a thank you card for the wait staff at the restaurant you frequent or leaving a note for the hotel room attendant? Simple gestures like these brighten the lives of those around you. I particularly want to focus on bringing kindness to those who do not impact us such as those sick in the hospital, first responders, and seniors’ centres. My plan is to provide you with video tutorials and pictures of the cards I make and the products I use. I will also be sharing places and people who might benefit from a little extra kindness, whether it be for military personnel, seniors’ centres, food banks, shelters, or someone who needs a pick-me-up. I believe we all have kindness to give to make someone smile. If you have someone who you think might need a little extra kindness sent their way, let me know and I can try to use this community to reach out with a kind word. Whether you like cards, crafting, stamping/inking techniques, I hope you find something here for you. If you have any questions about the products or techniques I use or others you may have seen, please feel free to send me an email me and I will be happy to help. Please like, share, and subscribe so that we can reach as many people as possible. I hope you enjoy what you see here and would love to connect with you for a card creating workshop or a chance to discuss ways to spread kindness to the world. I look forward to building this community into a positive, helpful group intent on making people smile. Stay safe, wash your hands, and be kind to one another.
