I do not know about you, but I love a new catalogue. I am always eager to dive into it and see what wonderful things I can add to my collection. Wait until you see the new January – June 2022 Mini Catalogue! There are so many new stamp sets, dies, designer series paper, and accessories options that I am chomping to get crafting.
I already have several of the products from the mini catalogue, which is a huge bonus of being a demonstrator. If you do not want to pursue the sales and growth part of being an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, you still get the discount and the chance to purchase items from the new catalogue before everyone else. I do not think there is a better reason to join 😊
My Top Picks
My absolute favourite and an instant, “I MUST HAVE THIS,” is the Abstract Beauty Suite (p.48). I do not usually get the ephemera pack, but could not resist with this one. I like shapes and the possibilities with these stamps and dies. The paper is so fun, too. I will be working on a few cards from this soon so be sure to check out my Instagram account and Facebook page to see the cards as I make them.
Another cute stamp set is Easter Friends (p. 27). The cute dancing duckling goes well with Flowing Flowers (p. 36) and the sentiment, “Time for a happy dance.” Go to my Instagram page for the quick card I made with these two stamp sets.
Flowering Rain Boots Bundle (p.20) is so cute. For those of you who do not buy Paper Pumpkin and wanted to get the rain boots and cute set from PP, here’s your chance. It is fun and I already have a couple of friends who will love a card with these cute boots. The sentiments and flowers are so fun, too.
I am a huge fan of sentiments and the Bragworthy stamp set (p. 55) is awesome. There’s even a sentiment comparing friendship to a dress with pockets. For those of you who do not know, my wedding dress had pockets and that was a feature that sold me on the dress. So handy and men will never understand the joy that pockets in a dress can bring to a woman’s day.
Sentimental Swirls (p. 56) is a great stamp set that was designed by a demonstrator who reached a million dollars in sales (I would love this opportunity and any sales that get me closer will be appreciated…hehe). A little bit of swirl and some fun flowers, leaves, a bird, and butterfly make this set work for anything. It’s also good for dressing up an envelope, invitations, or the inside of your cards.
I received the In the Moment stamp set (p.57) in my On Stage at Home Swag Bag. I was blown away and those who chose not to get the swag bag, were a tad jealous. It is available now, but I have had it a while and was able to use it for some of my Christmas cards. This is a great set and I love the sentiments.
The Honeybee Home Bundle (p. 61) is so nice. I am a sucker for bee stamps because I have a friend who has bees. I tend to make her a set of cards as a gift. I can see the potential in all the stamps and dies here and cannot wait to create some more with them.
Designer Series Paper
I enjoy good paper and the DSP from this catalogue (p. 86) is amazing with my favourites being:
There are four other DSPs that you might enjoy. I tend to go for more abstract and less flowery, but I think the tulips featured in the Flowering Fields DSP is beautiful and you can find it in the Flowering Fields Suite (p. 14). Tulip lovers will love this suite and all that comes with that Dutch feel.
A look Through the Mini Catalogue
I have the Gumball Greetings Bundle (p.12) is so fun and I have already started playing with it.
My daughter is in a robotics class and loves the Nuts & Bolts stamp set (p. 12), it is cute and so much fun for Valentine’s cards for her class.
The Rainbows of Happiness Bundle (p. 18) is going to be a big hit. Particularly because there is some matching paper in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.
The Dahlia Days Bundle (p. 35) is great! I said I am not a big fan of flower stamps, but this mini catalogue has a great selection is for anyone, even me. The versatility of this bundle is awesome. I believe it is important to decorate the inside of cards and envelopes. This stamp set will really help with a quick step up on any project.
I was not sure if I was going to enjoy the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle (p. 40), but I think it is “amazing” – pun intended. As a part of being a demonstrator, I had the opportunity to take part in the On Stage at Home a few months ago and we received the stamp set for free. The look is different from most stamps and there are some great designs online demonstrating some of them.
I also purchased the Eden’s Garden Bundle (p.41). Once again, this bundle has so many uses, and I love the dies. I think the leaves are easy added touches for the inside of cards.
Slimline
For those of you who enjoy making slim cards and are looking for envelopes, Stampin’ Up! has heard you and added slimline envelopes, dies, and a couple of stamp sets that suit slimline cards (p. 52-53). So exciting for those looking for this. Now I must create a few more slimline cards.
Happy Hedgehogs (p. 64) does just that – makes me happy. It’s cute and has a builder punch to make 3D hedgehogs. There is even a little mushroom…so cute.
If you are into decorative masks, I like this one a lot. These give you the option of layering them to make some fun cards without a lot of stamping. Just use some ink and blending brushes or sponge daubers. I am going to do more masking in the next couple of months to play with these.
If you check out pages 86-87 of the January – June Mini Catalogue, you will find fun punches, embossing folders, boxes, DSP, envelopes, shimmer paper and vellum, ribbon, and fun embellishments.
Host Bonus
If you host a party where I demonstrate these products and there are at least $200 in party sales, you can get the Mischievous Mice and/or the Expressions of Friendship stamp sets (p. 90). Let me know if you want to host a party. I can do it virtually and get you the products or we can work out a safe plan to do something in person when it is possible.
